Dougal Middleton – Physiotherapist

Dougal has joined the Paddington Physiotherapy team after completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Curtin University, in Perth, in 2014. His primary interests lie in the sports and the orthopaedic fields. During his degree, Dougal was fortunate enough to work in a range of physiotherapy areas including musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, sports including working with the Australian Hockey Team during the International Super Series in Perth.

He has competed at a National level in hockey and cricket but also been involved in other sporting events including AFL, Swimming, Athletics and Water Polo. He continues to play sport and enjoys weights and other gym based training. Dougal’s sports experience combined with a personal experience of a number of sports injuries (elbow, wrist,knee, ankle…) contributes to a good understanding of injury and training in these sports.

Dougal is continuing further study in 3rd year studying Medicine at University of Queensland.

Dougal is now involved working as a Physiotherapist managing sports injuries with the UQ Medicine Rugby, sponsored by Paddington Physiotherapy, as well as the Bulimba Bulls Hockey Club.

Dougal has a variety of interests include both upper & lower limb and sports-related injuries as well as exercise and conditioning training.

Dougal has Saturday morning appointments and evening appointments over the week.
